You’ll work directly with our CEO and CTO on brand and direction, then own the execution. One of your first major projects will be KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America in Salt Lake City, helping plan our presence, coordinate logistics, and run our booth.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, events, or social media.

Job description

We're looking for an energetic, hands‑on Marketing & Community Manager to lead social media, events, and community outreach for our AI startup.

We build the platform that lets companies run their entire AI program — models, private data, and agents — on infrastructure they own, with nothing leaving their network. We call this sovereign AI: an enterprise's AI program should belong to the enterprise running it. We're a team of eight, everyone is hands‑on, and right now nobody is dedicated to telling the world about what we're building. That's where you come in. You'll work directly with our CEO and CTO on brand and direction, then own the execution.

What you'll do
  • Draft and post social content, manage engagement, and follow relevant conversations and trends — primarily where cloud‑native and AI infrastructure people actually talk
  • Plan and coordinate conferences, trade shows, meetups, and webinars end to end: logistics, swag, shipping, badge scanning, follow‑up
  • Represent the company at events, connect with prospective customers and partners, and route good leads to the team
  • Engage in open‑source and technical communities: reply to threads, amplify partners, get our work in front of the right audiences
  • Help create marketing materials and content
  • Research events, communities, and other opportunities where we should show up
  • Keep outreach, contacts, and follow‑up organized

One of your first major projects will be KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America in Salt Lake City, November 9–12 — the biggest conference in our industry. You'll help plan our presence, coordinate logistics, and run our booth.

What we're looking for
  • Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable talking to people — a big part of this job is working a booth for three days straight and enjoying it
  • A strong writer who is organized and follows through; events are a hundred small deadlines with a hard date attached
  • Resourceful, hands‑on, and comfortable working independently — you'll get direction and support, but nobody will be checking your work daily
  • Genuinely interested in AI and comfortable using AI tools in your own work
  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, events, or social media
  • Social media and digital marketing experience strongly preferred; event, trade show, or community experience is a plus
  • Comfortable traveling for several conferences a year
  • No technical background required — we're glad to teach you the vocabulary
Why join us

You'll have real ownership at a stage where our public presence is still being defined, work directly with the founders, and help make the case for sovereign AI — a real position in a loud market.

Compensation and benefits

As a small and growing startup, we offer paid time off (PTO), paid company holidays, and equity compensation (Options), giving you a meaningful ownership stake in the company and its future growth. We do not currently offer health insurance or retirement benefits; we compensate for this with an above‑market salary, and many of our team members find quality coverage through the Maryland Health Insurance Marketplace.

We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of any characteristic protected by applicable law.
