Job summary

Chapman and Cutler LLP is seeking a Marketing Communications Assistant to join the Marketing Department. The role supports the marketing and business development team and assists lawyers by designing and producing high-impact, client- and recruit-facing communications (including advertisements, other visuals, podcasts, and videos) that elevate the Firm’s brand.

The position requires an in-office presence but includes flexibility for some remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, or related field.
• Strong graphic design and layout fundamentals; experience with InDesign and Adobe apps.
• Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency with AI-driven tools, marketing automation and analytics tools.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong writing, research, and verbal communication skills.
• Client-service oriented with ability to cultivate relationships across the Firm.
• Problem-solving and detail-oriented, with integrity and confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work beyond normal hours when required to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create, format, and distribute marketing materials in compliance with brand standards.
• Promote Firm thought leadership via republication opportunities and author agreements.
• Support Firm website and video/social channels with narrative and graphics.
• Create, produce, and promote podcasts and videos.
• Format and proofread presentations and marketing content.
• Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence research.
• Update and maintain marketing databases and repositories.
• Provide administrative support and collaborate on special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
