Job summary

Adath Israel Congregation in Cincinnati seeks a full-time Marketing & Communications Manager to lead overall communications strategy for the synagogue and its programs. The role focuses on storytelling, content creation, and brand consistency across events and educational programs.

The person will report to the COO, supervise the Communications Department, and collaborate with clergy, leadership and staff to optimize outreach, users’ engagement, and participation in synagogue activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 6+ years’ experience in communications, preferably in non-profit/Mission-based work.
• Proven ability to deliver clear, consistent communications across channels for medium-to-large organizations.
• Familiarity with non-profit environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of Jewish community context is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain clear messaging, branding and standards of excellence across all mediums.
• Drive the look and feel of all communications for brand consistency.
• Oversee design of print and digital marketing materials and email campaigns.
• Supervise Communications team members and vendors.
• Manage weekly programming emails, quarterly newsletter and social media activities.
• Evolve marketing plans and strategies to improve awareness and engagement.
• Collaborate with clergy and leadership to align communications with organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain websites and improve usability and navigation.
