Job summary

Harbor Country is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to manage digital marketing, content creation, and brand coordination. The role requires 2–4+ years in marketing, with a degree preferred and proficiency in Microsoft 365/Google Workspace.

You will update the website, support front-office tasks, and help produce Harbor Country Guide materials. The position is part-time with a flexible schedule, based in the Three Oaks office and occasional events in New Buffalo.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years in marketing, social media, or content creation.
• Degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or Business preferred (or equivalent).
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365/Google Workspace; Canva experience a plus.
• Experience with CRM/QuickBooks and email marketing tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital marketing across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Create content for bi-weekly newsletters and event promotions.
• Update website using ChamberMaster/WordPress; provide front-office support as needed.
• Maintain brand messaging across contractors, committees, and promo materials.
• Attend Chamber events to capture photos and form short-form content for social media.
• Create graphics for marketing materials and promotions.
• Conduct member spotlights and interviews.
• Assist with Harbor Country Guide publication.
• Present marketing results at monthly Board Meetings.

Type: Part-Time

Core Responsibilities

• Digital Marketing: Manage Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Create content for bi-weekly newsletters and event promotions.
• Website & Admin: Update the website using ChamberMaster/WordPress. Provide front-office support when needed by answering phones and greeting visitors.
• Maintain Brand: Coordinate consistent messaging with contractors, committees, and across various marketing platforms and promotional materials
• Chamber Support:
• Attend and capture photos and short-form content at Chamber events for use in social media, newsletters, and promotional materials
• Create graphics for marketing and promotional materials
• Conduct interviews/member spotlights
• Assist with the annual "Harbor Country Guide" publication
• Reporting: Attend and present marketing report at monthly Board Meetings

Key Requirements

• Experience: 2–4+ years in marketing, social media, or content creation.
• Education: Degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or Business is preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft 365/Google Workspace. Experience with Canva, email marketing tools, and CRM/QuickBooks is a plus.
• Flexibility: Ability to work from the main Three Oaks office, New Buffalo satellite office, and attend occasional morning, evening, or weekend events.
