Marketing Communications Management
The John and Marcia Price College of Engineering is home to seven dynamic departments advancing research, innovation, and education in engineering and computer science. We are seeking a strategic marketing and communications leader with strong writing, design, and project management skills to effectively promote the College’s programs, research, events, and achievements. Join us in shaping the future of engineering through impactful storytelling and strategic communications!
Direct and manage the development of integrated marketing and communications strategies that support College-wide and department-specific goals, reputation, recruitment, engagement, advancement, campaigns, and lead-generation objectives. Partner with the dean’s office, College and department leadership, faculty, staff, development, academic affairs, and University public relations and marketing teams to create accessible content and coordinated communications programs that engage target audiences. Oversee marketing collateral and ensure consistent application of University and College messaging and brand standards. Lead media relations and the development of press releases, story pitches, interview materials, marketing copy, reports, advertisements, and related content.
This position reports to the Dean of the John and Marcia Price College of Engineering and maintains a coordinated relationship with the University Marketing and Communications to support institutional alignment, coordination, and brand consistency. Serves as a first-level manager responsible for overseeing the work of individual contributors, including hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews. Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
Manager, Marketing Communications Management: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
Senior Manager, Marketing Communications Management: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 8 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 6 years of directly related work experience.
