Elmhurst Park District is offering a short-term Marketing & Communications Intern position for Fall 2026. You will support the Marketing & Communications team in promoting programs, events, facilities and services through engaging content.

You’ll assist with creating content for the District’s websites, social channels, newsletters and campaigns, plus photography and videography at events. This role emphasizes Canva-based graphics and strong writing skills, with 15–19 hours/week.

We have an exciting short-term job opportunity as Marketing & Communications Intern this Fall 2026!

WHAT YOU’LL DO: You'll play a key role in supporting the Marketing & Communications team in promoting programs, events, facilities and services through engaging and timely content.

• Assist in the overall functions of the Marketing & Communications department.
• Assist with creating engaging content for the District’s websites, social media channels, email communications, and other platforms.
• Photograph and record video at District programs, events, and facilities.
• Create short-form video content for social media.
• Assist with planning and developing social media content.
• Write, edit and proofread marketing materials, including news articles, newsletters, and other communications.
• Create basic graphics and promotional materials using established brand standards and templates.
• Assist with developing promotional campaigns for programs, events, facilities, and other District initiatives.
• Assist with proofreading and quality control to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to District.

What You’ll Bring

• Interest in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, digital media, graphic design, or related field.
• Previous experience creating content for social media, school organizations, or community organizations is a plus.

When You’ll Work

• 15-19 hours/week, schedule will vary depending on availability.

What You’ll Get

• The hourly rate for this position is $15.25/hour.
• This position falls under Pay Grade D with a pay range of $15.25 - $25.50.
