Job summary

Elmhurst Park District is seeking an Inclusion Aide to support participants with disabilities in our Recreation programs, ensuring safety and fun in a welcoming environment. You will assist with activities and provide accommodations as needed to help individuals participate fully.

Work schedules vary, with part-time hours ranging from 1–2 per week up to 13+ hours. Most shifts are weekday evenings and weekend mornings. Starting pay is $16.50–$18.00/hour; pay grade E ranges $15–$20.

• Willingness to learn to improve participant experience.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting part‑time job opportunity as an INCLUSION AIDE with our Recreation department.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As an Inclusion Aide, you will play a key role in assisting children and adults with disabilities to participate in recreational programs in a safe and fun environment! This includes assisting our participants with activities and provide accommodations as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Some knowledge and experience working with children and adults with disabilities.
• Willingness to learn to better the experience of our participants.

WHEN YOU’LL WORK

• Work schedules vary!
• Staff are able to work as little as 1‑2 hours per week all the way up to 13+ hours per week based on the needs of our participants. Majority of shifts fall on weekday evenings (4‑7pm) and Saturday/Sunday mornings (8:30am‑12pm).

WHAT YOU’LL GET

• The anticipated starting pay for this $16.50-$18.00/hour, depending on experience
• This position falls under Pay Grade E with a pay range of $15.00 - $20.00.
