  • Demonstrated success managing integrated campaigns, event budgets/logistics, sponsor or partner relationships, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong verbal, writing, editing, presentation, project management, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
  • Working knowledge of email marketing, web/content systems, analytics, social media, event platforms, and CRM/AMS concepts.

  • Maintain brand and editorial standards; ensure claims, dates, links, pricing, sponsorship details, and calls to action are accurate and approved.
  • Plan in-person and hybrid conferences, seminars, and special events with budget, forecast, sponsor goals, venue, logistics, and post-event review.

Job description

The Texas Chiropractic Association is seeking a motivated, organized and results-oriented Marketing, Communications & Events Director. In this role, you would develop marketing and communications initiatives that strengthen TCA’s brand, promote membership value and drive engagement, increase participation in programs and events, and advance the organization’s strategic priorities. T

This position reports to the Executive Director and is perfect for someone with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in associations with a customer service mind-set, excellent communications skills, and is organized and can manage multiple projects.

NOTE : This will be a hybrid position with weekly in-office responsibilities in Austin, Texas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and manage an integrated marketing and communications plan tied to membership, events, education, advocacy, and nondues revenue goals.
  • Develop audience, offer, message, channel, call-to-action, budget, and measurement plans for each priority campaign; test and improve performance.
  • Direct TCA’s marketing and communications calendar and produce or manage content for newsletters, email, public website, social media, app, public relations, and partner communications.
  • Maintain brand and editorial standards; ensure public claims, dates, links, pricing, sponsorship details, and calls to action are accurate and approved.
  • Plan TCA in-person and hybrid conferences, seminars, and special events. Own event strategy and financial performance, including budget, registration forecast, sponsor/exhibitor goals, venue and vendor sourcing, contracts, technology, food and beverage, lodging, transportation, logistics, run-of-show, and post-event review.
  • Work closely with the contracted meeting planner and other contractors through clear scopes, deadlines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Build and maintain a year-round sponsor and exhibitor pipeline; develop packages, proposals, fulfillment plans, renewals, and performance reporting. Partner with the Executive Director on strategic prospects and closing.
  • Own event attendance campaigns and registration pace; coordinate with Membership Growth & Experience Manager for priority prospect/member follow-up and for accurate attendee communications.
  • Use event feedback, campaign analytics, member insights, and financial results to recommend what TCA should stop, improve, repeat, or scale.
  • Support district promotion and event enablement through standardized toolkits, request deadlines, templates, and service levels rather than ad hoc production.
  • Serve as primary staff liaison to the Education & Events Committee, Next Gen Committee and Public Relations & Communications Committee; produce agendas and minutes, establish deadlines, and follow-through.
  • Maintain SOPs, templates, dashboards, content archives, and cross-training for critical campaigns, publications, sponsorship, and event workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • 3+ years of relevant marketing, communications, event, association, or revenue development experience; equivalent experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated success managing integrated campaigns, event budgets/logistics, sponsor or partner relationships, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong verbal, writing, editing, presentation, project management, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
  • Working knowledge of email marketing, web/content systems, analytics, social media, event platforms, CRM/AMS concepts, and Microsoft 365.
  • Comfort using approved AI and automation tools for drafting, repurposing, analysis, and workflow support while retaining human review and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently, lead contractors and volunteers, manage multiple deadlines, travel, and support events outside normal hours.
