Job summary

The State of Vermont is seeking a Paid Internship - Marketing and Communications Co-Op - Temporary in Montpelier, VT. This part-time internship will run 4 to 6 months with a minimum of 32 hours per week, supporting digital and print content creation to promote financial literacy and consumer protection.

You will collaborate with DFR's Education and Outreach teams and the Public Information and Outreach Coordinator to strengthen public understanding of DFR's role and resources.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
• Strong writing, editing, and digital communication skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and CMS.
• Attention to detail, creativity, and interest in public service and consumer education.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creation and dissemination of digital and print content for financial literacy and consumer protection.
• Support communication across platforms including website, newsletters, and social media.
• Collaborate with staff to plan and promote educational events and outreach campaigns.
• Contribute to communication strategies to raise statewide awareness of resources.
• Analyze engagement data to inform future outreach efforts.
