Marketing, Associate Director - Congress Lead

Job Overview

The HCP Marketing Associate Director, Congress Lead is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of Vertex’s Congress program within the U.S. Commercial Pain Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Congress Program for JOURNAVX within the U.S. Commercial Pain Business Unit as part of the HCP Marketing Team
  • Make strategic recommendations for brand promotional sponsorships and activations for each meeting in the current plan year
  • Design and lead a cross-functional congress planning process to maximize impact at medical meetings
  • Oversee adaptation, readiness, and onsite delivery of exhibit booths and promotional materials
  • Manage Congress budget, including PO and invoicing
  • Coordinate internal communications for each meeting
  • Ensure booth staffing needs are identified and communicated
  • Assess program value and ROI with analytics colleagues
  • Develop recommendations for future congress plans
  • Perform other related duties as needed
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience with communications review committees
  • Background in pharmaceutical marketing or related fields
  • Strong budget management and congress leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel 35% of the time
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to develop strategies and monitor performance
  • Knowledge of market forecasts and business drivers
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or scientific field
  • Typically 8+ years of experience or equivalent
Additional Details

Pay Range: $162,800 - $244,200

Role is hybrid or on-site, with flexibility according to company policy
