Job summary

Collins Electrical Company, Inc. is seeking a Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing Manager in executing dynamic marketing strategies, managing databases, and elevating the Collins brand presence.

You will handle administrative tasks, assist in events, write copy, create graphics, analyze data, and help implement continuous improvement initiatives, SOPs, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communication, or graphic design preferred.
  • 2+ years of full-time experience in a marketing role.
  • Experience with WordPress, Canva, and Constant Contact preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong creative and visual design abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Analytical skills to research data and improve marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Marketing Manager with general office duties and administrative tasks.
  • Process invoices and monthly expense reports related to marketing.
  • Support special marketing projects and events.
  • Assist in planning and coordination of marketing events, internal and external.
  • Work with Marketing Manager to implement and execute marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide support in development and execution of marketing plans.
  • Create visually appealing graphics for marketing materials (social media, ads, website).
  • Write compelling copy for website, social media, email marketing, press releases, and blogs.
  • Research analytics data to evaluate and improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Provide data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategy.
  • Maintain and manage marketing databases.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and SOPs.

Job Purpose

The Marketing Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting the Marketing Manager in the seamless execution of dynamic marketing strategies. This position will contribute to the overall success of our marketing initiatives by providing essential administrative support, ensuring the accuracy of marketing databases, and actively participating in the creative process. The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in elevating the Collins brand presence and achieving marketing goals.

What You'll Do
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with general office duties and administrative tasks.
  • Process invoices and monthly expense reports related to marketing activities.
  • Provide support for any special projects initiated by the Marketing Manager.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of marketing events, both internal and external.
  • Work directly with the Marketing Manager to implement and execute marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide support in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans.
  • Aid in the creation of visually appealing graphics for marketing materials, including social media, advertisements, and website content.
  • Assist in writing compelling copy for various platforms, including the company website, social media, email marketing, press releases, and blog posts.
  • Research and collect data from analytics sources to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize marketing strategy.
  • Manage and maintain marketing databases.
  • Perform any other job-related duties or function as assigned by management.
  • Accountable for leading efforts in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and methodologies to improve processes and increase efficiency.
  • Participate in CECI Continuous Improvement events as needed (ex: JDI, RIE & A3's)
  • Maintain SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for compliance practices and other associated functions.
  • Demonstrates and represents company core values in daily actions, interactions, and decision-making processes.
  • Integrates the company core values into work practices, ensuring that they are reflected in the tasks you undertake, projects you manage, and solutions you provide.
What You'll Bring

  • Strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and initiatives.
  • Familiarity with marketing software and tools, such as CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and design software.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., JDI, RIE, A3) and ability to participate in related events.
  • Knowledge of maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for compliance practices and other associated functions.
  • Working knowledge of all major social media platforms and emerging technology.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in processing invoices, expense reports, and maintaining marketing databases.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager and other team members to implement and execute marketing strategies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing marketing strategies, initiatives, and priorities.
  • Strong customer service orientation to interact positively with clients and event participants.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach in seeking ways to enhance processes and efficiencies.
  • Ability to create visually appealing graphics for marketing materials using design software.
  • Ability to research and collect data from analytics sources to evaluate and improve marketing efforts.
