Job summary

Ace Hardware in Sunbury, Ohio is seeking a Marketing Assistant to manage social media, create promotional materials, and plan in-store merchandising and displays. You will coordinate in-store events, track marketing results, and assist with inventory and product placement across stores.

A marketing degree and retail experience are preferred, with strong communication, design sense, and attention to detail. This is a hands-on role that requires collaboration with store teams and community

Job description

For this position we are looking for an employee who will:

• Create promotional materials
• Plan in-store merchandising and displays
• Coordinate events

• Assist with inventory and product placement

Qualifications:

• Some level of Degree in Business Marketing
• Previous experience in retail, merchandising, marketing, or customer service preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Creative mindset with an eye for design, branding, and visual presentation.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with computers and common software, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with Canva and social media platforms are required.
• Strong understanding of social media, marketing, promotional campaigns, and customer engagement.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high merchandising standards.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and stand or walk for extended periods while setting displays and stocking merchandise.
• Travel between stores may be required.
