Job summary

Apploi is seeking a dedicated admissions/marketing professional for our long-term care facility in the United States. The role focuses on timely referrals, coordinating with physicians and discharge planners, and building strong relationships with hospitals and social workers to secure admissions.

The ideal candidate has LTC admissions/marketing experience, a preferred Bachelor’s Degree, and the ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Answer referrals promptly and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospital discharge planners for smooth transitions to the facility.
• Market the facility to referral sources to gain new business.
• Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners and other referral sources.
• Recruit and credential new physicians to the facility.
• Complete admissions paperwork for new admissions promptly.
• Ensure facility has all required paperwork for admission.
• Verify payer sources and ensure referral is clinically approved prior to admission.
• Coordinate investigation/follow-up of concerns and communicate with the Administrator.
• Communicate effectively with the Administrator and take directions from the Administrator.
• Address resident, visitor and employee concerns promptly and inform the originator.
• Meet with community organizations and promote good public relations.
• Obtain copies of insurance cards and OBRA screens for admissions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in Long Term Care, preferably in admissions and/or marketing


• Bachelor’s Degree preferred


• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner


• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action


• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel and the general public


• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with all personnel
