Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive Market Strategy & Analyst Influence Specialist to join our product management team, specifically focusing on our network security business unit and supporting our industry-leading SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) and SSE (Security Service Edge) product lines. In this role, you will support how Palo Alto Networks engages with influential industry analysts, acting as an operational engine for our market intelligence and strategic influence.

You will partner closely with our product management teams to manage interactions, execute core market strategy operations, and ensure our technical innovations are accurately reflected in market research. Whether you're driving evaluative report submissions, managing peer review campaigns, or maintaining vital internal tools, you will play a critical role in enhancing our market leadership and influence within the cybersecurity analyst community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluative Research Management: Manage the end-to-end submission process for major evaluative reports (e.g., Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves, IDC MarketScapes) for the SASE and SSE portfolios. This includes building RFI templates, coordinating inputs from cross-functional stakeholders, and finalizing submissions.
  • Analyst Engagement & Influence: Partner with the Product Management team to manage analyst interaction calendars. Schedule, attend, and facilitate briefings and inquiries, compile detailed interaction notes, and proactively identify new opportunities to influence the analyst community.
  • Peer Insights Campaigns: Drive and manage Gartner Peer Insights campaigns to consistently boost our rankings, capture customer advocacy, and highlight our leadership in network security categories.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track and report on core analyst influence metrics, including coverage volume, PAN mentions, interaction data, and content reprints across business units. Lead analysts influence updates, synthesize strategic insights, and support analyst influence roll-ups and business reviews to demonstrate program impact.
  • Internal Enablement: Help upskill internal staff, product managers, and subject matter experts on analyst influence best practices, ensuring they are fully prepared for highly effective inquiries and briefings.
  • Market Strategy Operations & Event Support: Oversee day-to-day operations, including planning internal and external analyst events, building briefing books, creating pre- and post-event surveys, data entry, while defining and managing analyst influence campaigns.
  • Tool & Portal Management: Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of new internal tools designed for the product management team. Ensure the analyst profile and influence campaign documents are consistently updated with accurate information, press releases, and competitor activity.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in analyst engagement, technical marketing, product marketing, or communications within the Cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise software space.
  • Foundational technical understanding of network security, specifically SASE and SSE architectures, with the ability to grasp complex features and support clear business value narratives.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-step deliverables and cross-functional inputs, particularly for major analyst evaluation processes (Gartner MQs, Forrester Waves) and comprehensive RFIs.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and detail orientation, with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to compile clear executive notes, write strategic insights, and draft team updates.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to industry events and corporate headquarters as required by the business.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior hands-on experience managing Gartner Peer Insights campaigns or similar customer review platforms.
  • Familiarity with analyst tracking tools, portal management, and data reporting platforms to measure program ROI.
