8Fleet, a Los Angeles-based technology and logistics startup, is seeking a Market Manager to lead operations in San Francisco. This hands-on role requires coaching frontline staff, driving safety, ensuring on-time shifts, and optimizing driver performance.

The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years in high-volume operations, strong leadership, and a data-driven mindset to improve efficiency and customer experience. This on-site position offers full-time duties and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience managing high-volume operations in logistics, transportation, hospitality, fulfillment, retail, field operations, or a similar fast-paced environment.
• 2+ years of experience leading and developing frontline teams.
• Demonstrated success coaching employees, improving performance, and building strong operational cultures.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics and translate insights into action.
• Experience in rideshare, transportation, fleet operations, or logistics is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own all day-to-day operations within the market and ensure shifts run safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Lead, coach, and develop the site's Operations Coordinators, Fleet Supervisors, and other frontline operational staff.
• Ensure vehicles, drivers, and operational resources are prepared each day to support successful shift execution.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement improvements that increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve the driver experience.
• Maintain high operational standards through regular audits, inspections, and process reviews.
• Monitor driver performance metrics including productivity, trip completion, utilization, safety scores, attendance, customer ratings, and policy compliance.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions, ride-alongs, performance reviews, and corrective action meetings.
• Oversee onboarding and training for all new drivers.
• Partner with Recruiting and HR to support hiring, onboarding, and employee retention.
• Address attendance issues promptly and consistently while maintaining fair application of company policies.
• Champion a strong culture of safety throughout the organization.
• Monitor driver safety performance and lead coaching following safety events or incidents.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
• Investigate operational incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
