Novant Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist I for a part-time day shift in the Mammography department. The role involves assisting physicians with diagnostic procedures and operating mammography equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

Relocation assistance up to $7,500 is offered. Requirements include ARRT Radiography and Mammography certifications, state license, and a 2-year/associates degree; one year of mammography experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
• ARRT Radiography and Mammography certifications required.
• Applicable state license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic mammography procedures.
• Prepare patient and operate mammography equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Contribute to safe, high-quality patient imaging and care.

The Mammography Technologist I assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the mammographic equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
• Experience: One year of experience in mammography, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography and Mammography – RT(R)(M), required. Certified and registered by ARRT in Bone Densitometry – RT(R)(M)(BD), preferred. Applicable state license, required.
• Additional skills required: Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates Mammography equipment.
