Job summary

Novant Health’s NH Breast Center Huntersville is seeking a Mammography Technologist - Outpatient Imaging to deliver high-quality imaging services in a collaborative, patient-focused setting.

You will prepare patients, operate mammography equipment, and work with radiologists and clinical teams to obtain diagnostic images. The role is full-time, typically 7:30AM-4:30PM or 4x10 shifts, at NH Breast Center Huntersville, Huntersville, NC.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; ARRT-approved Radiography Program required.
• 1 year Mammography experience preferred.
• ARRT RT(R)(M) certification; state license required; BD certification preferred per NH policy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and operate mammography equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Facility: NH Breast Center Huntersville | Location: Huntersville, NC | Full-Time (Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:30PM or possibility for 4x10 shift)

What You'll Do

The Mammography Technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the mammographic equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
• Experience: One year experience in Mammography, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography and Mammography – RT(R)(M), required. Certified and registered by ARRT in Bone Densitometry – RT(R)(M)(BD), preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required. Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates Mammography equipment.
