Hy-Vee’s Market Grille Clerk role puts you at the heart of the store, serving made-to-order foods and creating a welcoming atmosphere for every customer you meet at the counter.

You’ll greet customers, take orders, manage daily requests, and collaborate with a team that takes pride in quality and service in a fast-paced kitchen setting. No formal education is required, and prior food service experience is a plus. Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
• Perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, and count accurately.
• Understand and follow directions and communicate supply needs.
• Work effectively as part of a team to deliver a great customer experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service, greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter and answer the telephone with helpful service.
• Review daily orders, anticipate product needs, and replenish inventory as necessary.
• Handle food safely and ensure freshness, maintaining a clean work area.
• Operate the department register, process payments, and make change as needed.
