Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Market Grille Clerk to serve made-to-order foods and create a welcoming customer experience. You will handle orders, greet customers by name, and help maintain a fast-paced, friendly counter.

You'll learn recipes, work with a team, follow safety and hygiene guidelines, and keep the area clean. No formal education is required; Hy-Vee provides training and the starting wage ranges from $13.50 to $16.80 per hour.

Qualifications

• No education required; training provided.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; prior food service experience is a plus.
• Ability to stand/walk for shifts and maintain a sanitary work area.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers.
• Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter and answer the telephone promptly.
• Review daily orders and replenish product to ensure freshness.
• Operate the department register and handle payments.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area throughout your shift.
• Work with teammates to ensure customer satisfaction.
