Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Market Grille Clerk in Mission, Kansas. You will serve up fresh, made-to-order items, greet customers warmly, and work as part of a fast-paced team to ensure accuracy and quality.

You will handle orders, operate the register, and help maintain safe food handling and cleanliness throughout your shift. Training is provided; prior food service experience is a plus, and reliability is essential for success.

Qualifications

• No education requirement; training provided.
• 6 months or less of related work; food service experience is a plus.
• Must be able to stand/walk, lift, and perform routine cleaning/sanitation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter and answer the telephone.
• Review daily orders, anticipate product needs, and replenish as needed.
• Pull products from cooler/freezer for cooking and ensure adequate supply.
• Handle food safely and monitor freshness; maintain a clean work area.
• Operate the department register, accept payments, and make change as applicable.
• Contribute to a team environment and assist in other store areas as needed.
• Follow Hy-Vee policies, maintain hygiene and dress standards, and report on time.
