A leading aviation company seeks a qualified manager for its Kansas City operations. The role demands a strong background in aviation management with an emphasis on customer relations and safety. Develop an understanding of the market for the FBO, including growth opportunities. Conduct ongoing analysis of competitors, focusing on selling points, product offerings, and pricing. Remain competitive locally by collaborating with the Revenue Management team. Create new opportunities through developing relationships with customers and airport authorities.
Establish a safety culture through daily observations, shift briefings, routine audits, SHEBBA maintenance, safety meetings, training, and documented procedures for emergencies. Promote customer loyalty by fostering employee engagement and regularly interacting with customers to gather feedback for continuous improvement. Ensure proper staffing levels based on volume and develop business plans with capital and performance forecasts. Manage the financial aspects of the base, including budgets, expenditures, and forecasts.
Perform management responsibilities per organizational policies and laws, including conducting annual reviews, hiring, and managing performance. Ensure employees are trained in safety, customer service, and company values, and support their development. Other duties as assigned.
Work in variable weather and environmental conditions such as jet fumes, dust, or noise. Frequently stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; occasionally use hands, climb, stoop, or lift up to 25 pounds. Read, write, and speak English fluently, and interpret technical and financial documents. Respond effectively to inquiries or complaints, present information to management or groups, and perform calculations and problem-solving based on data.
Must have at least 5 years of management experience, including 3+ years in aviation. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Aviation Management, or a related field is preferred. Demonstrate core competencies such as entrepreneurship, leadership, negotiation, business acumen, customer focus, results orientation, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web applications is required. Valid driver’s license is necessary.
