MDS Staffing is seeking a smart, market-driven Strategic Purchaser to manage and grow our e-commerce and dropship purchasing program. This role requires independent thinking, strong supplier relationships, and the ability to act on market opportunities to buy at the right price and time.

You will oversee pricing, promotions, inventory levels, and supplier negotiations, coordinating with sales and marketing to optimize margins while managing risk and capital.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and executing strategic sourcing in e-commerce or dropship models.
• Strong market instincts and ability to identify and negotiate profitable deals.
• Able to communicate purchasing decisions clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Stay on top of market pricing, product trends, promotions, and supply/demand.
• Decide when to buy, wait, or pass on a deal and determine stock quantities.
• Negotiate competitive pricing and terms with suppliers and maintain supplier relationships.
• Take ownership of financial outcomes of purchases and monitor inventory performance.
• Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and other teams before buying and when inventory needs to be sold through.
