Blue Yonder in the United States is seeking a role focused on supporting business development and sales activities for Japanese customers and their U.S. subsidiaries.

Job description

Responsible for supporting business development and sales activities for Japanese customers and their U.S. subsidiaries. This includes identifying and developing target accounts and new business opportunities by leveraging knowledge of Japanese corporate groups, their business operations, organizational structures, and supply chain needs.

The role requires understanding customers’ business and supply chain challenges and identifying relevant Blue Yonder solutions to address those needs. The position supports the preparation and delivery of initial customer presentations, proposals, and solution discussions in collaboration with Blue Yonder BD, sales, and supply chain advisory teams.

The role also serves as a key liaison between Japanese-speaking customers and U.S.-based Blue Yonder teams, ensuring that customer requirements, business practices, and expectations are accurately communicated and understood. In addition, the position supports existing customers by identifying additional supply chain needs and opportunities to expand their use of Blue Yonder solutions through upsell and cross-sell activities.

The position requires specialized knowledge of Japanese business practices, Japanese corporate structures, supply chain operations, and Blue Yonder’s supply chain solutions. This knowledge is applied to understand the specific needs of Japanese customers, translate their business requirements into appropriate solution requirements, and effectively coordinate between customers and internal Blue Yonder teams.

PROBLEM-SOLVING/KNOW HOW: (complexity of problems & education/experience & other knowledge required)

The position requires the ability to understand complex supply chain challenges faced by Japanese companies and identify appropriate Blue Yonder solutions. It requires sales experience in Japan, knowledge of Japanese business practices and supply chain solutions, and the ability to communicate effectively with Japanese customers and U.S.-based teams.

COMMUNICATIONS: (key communications contacts and level of persuasion required)

Communicates with Japanese customers, their U.S. subsidiaries, and internal Blue Yonder teams in both Japanese and English. Requires the ability to understand customer needs, present solutions, and coordinate and influence stakeholders to support business opportunities.

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
