Job Description

We are currently hiring a Market Channel Manager, Off Premise (Grocery and Small Format) in Atlanta, GA. This role covers Atlanta and the surrounding cities. The ideal candidate must live in the Atlanta area.

The Market Manager (MCM) is responsible for increasing availability and visibility of Boston Beer portfolio of brands at retail to generate depletion growth while adding value to our wholesaler and retailer partners by focusing on a specific channel. Primary focus is split between mid level channel specific wholesaler management and multi-outlet retail accounts.

What You'll Brew:

  • Execute internal sales objectives & improve account conditions using BBC systems and selling process Learn and be proficient in beer industry knowledge, brewing, and BBC product styles
  • Hunt for new business opportunities while growing current business in multi unit chains and key accounts within defined channel
  • Utilize effective verbal and written communication with wholesaler, accounts, and coworkers including ability to deliver impactful presentations
  • Use internal and external data to plan and identify opportunities across the channel and account base
  • Build strong relationships with wholesalers and retailers by providing channel leadership
  • Increased responsibilities of financial/account management while gaining bridge experiences
  • Assist in the development of Goals, Strategies, Objectives and Tactics for the defined channel
  • Improve retailer execution through wholesaler channel manager across the BBC portfolio
  • Working conditions vary greatly day to day due to customer facing nature of role
  • May be the periodic requirement to work weekends and holidays to support the needs of the business
  • Occasional travel for meetings and trainings
  • Regular travel in the market to service retailers and wholesalers

What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years sales and/or food/beverage industry experience
  • An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality
  • Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
  • Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
  • Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently
  • Ability to travel within market

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience calling on large format chain accounts

Level: 7

In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe salary range for this role if hired is $65,000 – $99,500 annually based on location and the experience level of the candidate. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Certain sales positions are also eligible for car allowance.
