Time Out Market in New York is seeking an experienced Bartender to provide outstanding guest service and craft experiences in a high-volume bar environment.

You will manage guest checks, process payments, and maintain bar cleanliness, stock, and safety throughout shifts. The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and a professional appearance to ensure memorable visits for guests and clients.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in hospitality in a high‑volume bar environment.
• Experience using POS systems for guest checks and payments.
• Ability to maintain accurate cash handling and transactional records.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare guest checks using POS, process payments (cash, card, comps).
• Uphold bartender cash banks procedures and daily closeout.
• Maintain clean bar area, rotate stock, and set up event spaces as needed.
• Inform management of incidents or complaints and resolve guest concerns.
• Provide information on menus and pricing to guests and maintain SOPs.
• Monitor intoxicated guests and stop service as required while ensuring safety.
