American Commercial Barge Line seeks a Vessel Cook to craft diverse menus and prepare meals for crew across inland waterways. You will ensure high-quality cooking, food safety, and a welcoming dining experience aboard a moving vessel.

Ideal candidates bring ServeSafe certification, 3+ years cooking experience, and maritime catering knowledge. A TWIC card and valid driver’s license are required to join our safety‑driven team on rotating 28‑day voyages.

Responsibilities

• Create diverse and nutritionally balanced menus for vessel crew.
• Prepare and cook meals, snacks, and baked goods for the crew with attention to quality.
• Follow strict food safety and hygiene protocols to protect crew health.
• Keep the galley clean and organized and maintain equipment.
• Foster a positive dining experience and accommodate special requests when possible.
• Coordinate with the vessel master to help manage budgets.
