Job summary

Fathom Robotics is seeking a Maritime Logistics & Deployment Manager to survey government test ranges and their supporting ports, then run the logistics to stage and operate uncrewed surface vessels at those sites. You will report to the USV Fleet Director.

The role requires travel ~25% across the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, and beyond, with outdoor work on piers, ramps, and yards. Remote work from near Ventura County, CA or Eglin AFB, FL is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of maritime logistics, port operations, or expeditionary small boat support.
• Hands-on experience judging piers, ramps, and yards for vessel launch and recovery.
• Working knowledge of crane load charts, rigging, forklift capacity, and heavy haul trailer operations.
• Experience planning and executing movement of vessels and heavy equipment by sea, air, and road.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the site assessment matrix used at every range and port.
• Survey piers, ramps, laydown yards, and staging areas for USVs and support vessels.
• Evaluate crane, forklift, and trailer capacity and access; record operator responsibilities.
• Review host support agreements and range scheduling; identify shortfalls and write site reports.
• Produce deployment plans for government vessels, equipment, costs, and timelines.
• Direct survey staff and contractors during the survey phase.
• Plan and manage deployments and logistics from staging to launch and return.
• Coordinate sea and air transport, port access, and local equipment arrangements.
• Ensure hazmat, lithium battery, ITAR and export control compliance.
