Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Systems Engineer to focus on integration and testing for a maritime program. You will verify, validate, and integrate 1000-volt systems, producing architectural drawings, design specs, and detailed test procedures.

You will work with MBSE tools and instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data acquisition systems in an Agile environment. The role requires 4–8 years of systems engineering experience, strong documentation skills, and eligibility for U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 4–8 years in systems engineering focusing on integration and test.
• Hands-on experience with system integration and testing in complex environments.
• Experience developing and executing integration tests and test reports.
• Knowledge of requirements management using DOORS.
• MBSE concepts and SysML notation.
• Familiarity with MBSE tools like Cameo / MagicDraw.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data acquisition systems.
• Understanding of defense or safety-critical verification and validation.
• Ability to work in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform formal verification and validation to ensure systems meet requirements.
• Lead and execute system integration and testing for maritime program systems.
• Develop and maintain detailed test procedures for integration activities.
• Document test results in comprehensive reports.
• Support creation and refinement of architectural drawings and design specifications.
• Provide clear implementation instructions for development and integration.
• Use test equipment to conduct I&T on medium-power 1000-volt products.
• Apply integration testing methodologies under real-world conditions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environment.
• Trace requirements through design, implementation, and test artifacts.
• Contribute to process and tool improvements for I&T.
