Job summary

System One is seeking a Maritime Systems Engineer for a full-time opportunity in Orlando, FL. The role involves supporting and integrating maritime bridge systems, including communications, navigation, radar, and steering subsystems.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in Linux/Windows development with C/C++ or C#, scripting skills, and proficiency with Git or SVN. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience developing code on Linux and Windows systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent with three years’ related experience in aircraft, flight, or maritime simulation systems.
• Must be a United States Citizen and able to obtain and maintain an active DoD security clearance.

• Communicate ongoing activities and results to engineers, customers, stakeholders, and management.

• Research, analyze, plan, design, develop, code, implement, integrate, and test associated systems using engineering principles

Requirements

• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Teams/SharePoint)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience with three years’ related experience in aircraft, flight, or maritime simulation systems
• Must be a United States Citizen and able to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense security clearance
