Spear AI is seeking an experienced manufacturing, troubleshooting and repair technician to join a cross-functional team designing, building, testing, and deploying unmanned maritime sensor systems.

The role emphasizes maritime operations with frequent on-water work, lab work, and collaboration with engineers to improve durability and documentation. You will participate in deployment, maintenance, and recovery of instrumentation from sea and shore environments.

Responsibilities

• Electrical fabrication: build wiring harnesses and assemble components.
• Mechanical fabrication: fabricate and assemble mechanical components and systems.
• Compute configuration: basic configuration and testing of linux-based compute systems.
• Testing: test components, subsystems, and systems in lab and field.
• Troubleshooting: troubleshoot systems with limited documentation and interact with engineers.
• Maritime operations: lead test operations, deployment, maintenance, and recovery of instrumentation from small boats.
• Engineering interaction: provide feedback to engineers on designs and documentation.
