Job description

Offered by Uncrewed Systems (UxS), a division of HII, this Technician position in Pocasset, MA involves manufacturing and testing electro‑mechanical assemblies for autonomous marine vehicles in accordance with specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform integration, assembly and testing of new system vehicles and auxiliary equipment from drawings and work instructions.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting with engineering and software teams to identify and correct system‑level problems.
• Read and interpret diagnostic data, technical schematics, and test equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Perform basic soldering and use test equipment to support production of power‑board assemblies (PWBA), modules and assemblies.
• Execute troubleshooting of complex analog and digital circuits to component level.
• Provide recommendations to improve procedures and assist Manufacturing Engineering in implementing changes.
• Work within prescribed procedures to supply enough working PWBA’s, assemblies or modules to meet the Master Production Schedule.
• Communicate technical issues with Engineering as they arise.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or 2‑year technical degree) and at least 3 years of related experience; or High School Diploma with at least 5 years of related experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Physical Requirements

Work mainly aboard ships or in industrial settings. Must be able to perform physical tasks and tolerate exposure to fumes, heat, humidity, noise, and shipboard hazards while wearing required PPE.
