Fairwater is seeking a Senior Accountant in Dania Beach, FL to lead month-end close for vessels and accounts, ensuring accurate reporting under US GAAP. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and collaborate with Operations to explain variances.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 5+ years private or 3+ years public experience, and strong analytical and mentoring skills to support junior team members. Maritime exposure is a plus.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum five years of private or three years of public accounting experience.
• Maritime industry experience is a plus.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform month-end close procedures for assigned accounts/vessels, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review financial results for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze monthly trends with Operations and explain significant fluctuations.
• Support internal controls across processes and provide documentation for audits.
• Assist with preparing financial statements and reporting packages.
