Job summary

MANTECH International Corporation in Hawaii seeks a mid-level Maritime Risk Management Specialist to join our team in Oahu, HI. You will develop risk assessments, oversee safety documentation, and support missions for our partners.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Marine Safety, Business, or related field, 3+ years of experience, and knowledge of USCG regulations. A Master's and 7+ years are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drafts and develops Maritime Risk Assessment Plans and safety documentation for senior review and validation.
• Maintains detailed records of vessel safety certifications and facilitates communication between the prime contractor and insurance partners.
• Prepares routine reports on maritime risk metrics and safety performance for Mission Partners.
• Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for managing maritime pollution prevention and safety compliance.
• Facilitates the coordination of vessel inspections and ensure all maritime platforms are seaworthy and properly manned.
• Prepares risk status updates for inclusion in the unclassified document library and management portal.
• Takes direction, guidance, and mentoring from more senior staff.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Drafts and develops Maritime Risk Assessment Plans and safety documentation for senior review and validation

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience with international standards for vessel berthing and husbanding

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Must possess active Public Trust clearance

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, and virtual communication which may involve delivering presentations
