Job summary

Saronic Technologies seeks a Quality Engineer – Accuracy Control to ensure dimensional accuracy across shipyard fabrication, integration, and testing of autonomous vessels. You will lead precision measurements, GD&T verification, and documentation to meet naval and customer requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical/Naval).
3–5 years in quality engineering, dimensional control, metrology.
Experience with shipbuilding or marine/mfg environments.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain dimensional control procedures for fabrication, assembly, and testing.
Perform high-accuracy inspections and alignments per drawings and GD&T.
Operate metrology equipment to establish vessel coordinate systems and datums.
Identify and drive improvements to reduce rework and improve fit‑up.
Document inspection data and report quality performance and deviations.
Support compliance with naval standards, ISO 9001, and calibration records.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and program teams on issues.
Mentor shipyard personnel on dimensional control and metrology.
