Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking an Accuracy Control Engineer to develop and maintain the dimensional control systems critical for aligning large ship structures during fabrication, assembly, and erection. You will establish measurement standards, control points, and procedures that enable modular construction with minimal rework.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Understanding of dimensional control, metrology, or structural alignment in large-scale manufacturing or construction.
  • Experience with large fabricated structures or modular assemblies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and structural models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to tolerances.
  • Preferred: shipbuilding, offshore fabrication, or large modular construction experience.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the shipyard’s accuracy control program governing dimensional tolerances throughout fabrication and assembly.
  • Define measurement standards and control processes for panels, subassemblies, blocks, and erected structures.
  • Develop dimensional control procedures that support modular ship construction.
  • Implement measurement systems used to verify structural alignment and geometry.
  • Coordinate tolerance standards with naval architects and structural engineers.
  • Identify and resolve dimensional conflicts during assembly.
