Job summary

UIC Arctic Response Services, LLC is looking for an experienced Outboard Engine Mechanic to provide maintenance for Government vessels in Puerto Rico, specifically in Ponce and San Juan. The role involves diagnosing and repair tasks related to outboard engines and maintaining boats.

Qualified candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED, possess two years of experience as a marine mechanic, and be certified in engine repairs. The position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience as a marine mechanic.
• Certifications from Mercury Marine preferred.
• Experience with fiberglass and aluminum hull repairs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct repairs on outboard engines, boats, and trailers.
• Install and maintain HM&E systems on vessels.
• Perform fiberglass and aluminum repairs as needed.

Skills

Repairing and maintaining outboard engines

Knowledge of Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) systems

Fiberglass and aluminum repair experience

Effective communication skills
