Job summary

Bowhead seeks an experienced Outboard Engine Mechanic to join our team in Puerto Rico for the maintenance of vessels and general maritime support in Ponce and San Juan.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing outboard engines, HM&E systems, and hulls. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, and Mercury Marine certifications are preferred; a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a U.S. passport are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Mercury Marine certifications preferred.
• Certified in gasoline outboard, inboard, and diesel engines by a marine factory authorized facility.
• Minimum two years of full‑time experience as a marine mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Installs, diagnoses, repairs on outboard engines, boats, and trailers.
• Maintains and overhauls boats and propulsion systems.
• Modifies Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) systems and related equipment.
• Repairs fiberglass and aluminum hulls; may perform aluminum hull welding.
• Must have valid driver's license and ability to obtain U.S. passport.
• Communicate effectively with team and customers.
