Job summary

Marine Spill Response Corporation in Long Beach, CA, seeks a Response Manager to lead 24/7 spill response and vessel management efforts. You will direct resources, oversee FRV crews, and coordinate with agencies to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost control.

The role demands 5+ years of leadership, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to travel and respond within two hours for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a marine or environmental discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience with strong interpersonal skills.
• Advanced knowledge of oil spill response management and mariner vessel management.
• Ability to support MSRC's mission, including rapid emergency response within two hours.
• Excellent communication across all levels and modes.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
• Required TWIC, passport, driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
• Background check, drug screen and medical exam completed.

Responsibilities

• Manage site and vessel resources, personnel, and contractors for 24/7 readiness.
• Lead direct reports and Offshore employees to ensure safety and operational excellence.
• Direct spill response resources during events, drills, and training while controlling costs.
• Oversee FRV crew licensing, training, and scheduling to maintain full crews.
• Support and implement MSRC contracts, maintenance, and vessels of opportunity.
• Develop relationships with customers and agencies; provide spill response SME input.
• Monitor budgets and contribute to financial planning for sites.
• Foster training and development opportunities within span of control.
• Perform additional duties and support special projects as assigned.
