Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive forward cutting-edge engineering efforts within the Maritime System Solutions Portfolio of the Maritime Systems Division. This role focuses on underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, and ISR solutions for Navy missions.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team from prototype design to full-scale deployment, ensuring a design-for-manufacturing approach while maintaining schedules and staffing needs across multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or operations discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical or hands on field.
• Professional experience planning and maintaining task schedules.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in planning, innovating, then delivering against program baselines.
• Work directly with various engineering disciplines to develop discrete build packages of existing and new products.
• Drive innovative process improvements aligned with customer needs and mission goals.
• Ensure a design-for-manufacturing focus is maintained during system development.
• Maintain production schedules and advise staffing or system needs.
• Balance and prioritize for a team of Engineering Technologist supporting multiple programs.
• Collaborate with Facility Management to improve manufacturing areas and resources.
• Assist hands-on assembly, troubleshooting, repairing and testing of sub-assemblies through complete systems.
