Job summary

Gorman General Contractors, LLC is seeking an on-site Construction Supervisor to lead daily operations from start to finish for multifamily and commercial projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, inspections, and sequencing to keep the project moving on schedule.

You will review drawings and specifications, enforce safety standards, and maintain thorough project documentation, logs, and turnover activities. A relevant degree or hands-on leadership experience is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in construction supervision or similar field leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, with strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and field operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site construction operations from project start through completion, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and company standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, material deliveries, inspections, and construction sequencing to keep the project on schedule.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules with the Project Manager and General Field Superintendent; anticipate material needs and resolve field challenges.
• Serve as primary on-site contact for subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers, and ownership representatives; maintain clear communication and strong relationships.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and installation details for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive site by enforcing OSHA and company safety standards; conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, project documentation, delivery records, timecards, as-built drawings, and project photos; oversee punch-list and turnover.
