Job summary

Allen Marine is seeking an Electrician to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and upgrade electrical wiring, components, and systems aboard vessels and in the shipyard. The role involves AC/DC marine electrical work, lighting, panels, generators, and navigation-related systems.

You will read schematics and plans, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with shipyard personnel. The position supports vessel construction, maintenance, upgrades, and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and hands-on electrical experience.
• Experience with marine, industrial, or similar electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete electrical wire runs, including pulling, routing, securing, labeling, and terminating wiring.
• Install, repair, replace, and maintain electrical components, equipment, fixtures, and systems.
• Inspect and maintain vessel lighting and electrical components.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and plans for vessel systems.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems and identify faults and failures.
• Accurately document work performed and parts used.
