Job summary

Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding, a FMG company, is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Technician II in Sturgeon Bay, WI to support occupational safety, environmental compliance, and industrial hygiene programs. Travel may be required and duties include safety inspections, training, and audits to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.

The role requires knowledge of OSHA/Maritime standards, strong organizational and communication skills, and a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of EHS experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; maritime EHS experience preferred.
• 2 years in ship repair, shipbuilding, maritime, or heavy industrial EHS required.
• Knowledge of OSHA/Maritime safety standards (OSHA-29 CFR 1910 & 1915).
• Ability to conduct investigations, assessments, and implement corrective actions.
• Experience with EHS training, inspections, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections and job hazard analyses.
• Investigate incidents and verify corrective actions.
• Provide EHS training including emergency response and hazardous materials management.
• Support OSHA, EPA, DEP, USCG, NAVSEA inspections and recordkeeping.
• Assist with environmental sampling and waste management.
