Job summary

Saronic Technologies in Austin, TX seeks a Senior EHS Manager to own the environmental, health, and safety program across office, production, and waterfront operations. You will lead a hands-on safety culture, work with the VP of EHS to set strategy, and coach teams on real-time problem solving in a fast-moving hardware/maritime environment.

The role emphasizes risk management, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety-first mindset across facilities and field operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of maritime EHS experience in shipyard, marine construction, offshore, or waterfront ops.
• 5+ years in people leadership, managing EHS staff.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, USCG regulations and maritime standards.
• Proven ability to build safety programs and drive improvements.
• Experience with hazard analysis, incident investigations, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS program across Austin operations including office, production, and waterfront.
• Develop safety strategy with VP of EHS and coach teams on risk reduction.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, USCG and state/local rules.
• Manage and mentor EHS staff; set goals and track performance metrics.
• Oversee hazard identification, JHA, CAPA and incident investigations.
• Lead incident investigations and report EHS metrics to leadership.
• Deliver safety training and foster a safety-first culture.
• Manage emergency, spill, hazmat, PPE, lockout/tagout, and industrial hygiene programs.
• Partner with engineering/manufacturing to design hazards out early.
