Job summary

ITC Federal is seeking a SCANTS Vessel Simulation Administrator to operate and maintain the Shipboard Control and Navigation Training System at USCGA in New London, CT. The role supports cadets with high-fidelity shipboard simulation, running training scenarios and coordinating maintenance.

Qualified candidates will hold an active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain, plus knowledge of maritime rules, ECDIS and radar displays.

Qualifications

• Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain.
• Maritime rules of the road knowledge (Inland and International).
• Experience with maritime bridge consoles, ECDIS and radar displays.
• Experience developing and conducting training scenarios in higher education or service academy.
• Maritime afloat experience with bridge leadership.
• USCG afloat expertise supporting merchant mariner training.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Shipboard Control and Navigation Training System for bridge simulation training.
• Load and configure training scenarios for evolutions and feedback sessions.
• Simulate target vessel activity via radio calls and proper radiotelephone procedures.
• Execute role-based exercises (lookout, CO, traffic vessels) as required by scenarios.
• Coordinate maintenance with third-party support to keep simulators mission-ready.
