Job summary

Biehl & Co. South Carolina, LLC. in North Charleston, SC, seeks a Boarding Agent to manage ship owner service requests, prepare paperwork, and ensure regulatory compliance for inbound and outbound vessels.

You will coordinate movements with pilots, tugs, lines, and bunkering, generate government forms, and use the Agency OS to execute duties while keeping principals and terminals informed daily. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to learn quickly, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with ships, tugs and related paperwork preferred.
• Ability to learn Agency OS and similar systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate movements of vessels with pilots, tugs, lines, and bunkering.
• Prepare and sign Bills of Lading with Principal and Port Manager approval.
• Prepare and sign Statement of Facts.
• Use Agency operating system to perform job duties.
• Communicate daily updates with principals and terminals.
• Generate suitable government forms as required.
• Manage financial tasks: PDAs, approve invoices, and generate accounting sheets.
• Coordinate owner’s needs including waste provisions, stores, spares, repairs, crew, and supply delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
