Qualifications

• PhD in Anthropology or related field with maritime archaeology experience.
• Demonstrated strength in anthropological and archaeological theory.
• Broad methodological experience across maritime archaeology including regulatory compliance, geophysical survey, site assessment, excavation, documentation, and interpretation.
• Experience with emerging technologies relevant to maritime archaeology.
• Ability or potential to develop an active research program with external funding.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in maritime archaeology and field methods, plus anthropology courses.
• Collaborate with students and faculty across subdisciplines and departments.
• Develop and lead research projects integrating geophysical methods and large datasets.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students and publish scholarly work.
