Job summary

Ingram Barge Company in Port Allen, LA is seeking an experienced welder to join our maintenance team on our fleet of barges. You will perform welding, cutting, and fitting tasks essential to hull repairs and dry docking projects.

The ideal candidate demonstrates safety-first mindset, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following the Ingram Way. Valid driver's license and ability to lift 50+ pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Display excellent communication skills.
• Can walk and lift for extended periods.
• Can carry more than fifty pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to read and write English to comply with USCG requirements.

Responsibilities

• Welding/Cutting/Fitting on barges (6011/7018/7024).
• Dry docking vessels for hull repair.
• Operating forklift.
• Operating hydraulic crane.
• Firewatch on towing vessels.
• Route dock clean up.
• Other duties as requested.
