Zusammenfassung

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a talented structural engineer to join our Marine and Waterfront Structures practice in Hunt Valley, MD. The engineer will design, analyze, inspect, rehabilitate, and support construction of port, waterfront and marine infrastructure projects along the East Coast.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil or Structural ABET-accredited degree, a PE license, and 5+ years of structural engineering experience, including at least 1 year on marine projects.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Minimum 1 year of port/marine/waterfront project experience.
• Experience with design, inspection, rehabilitation, or construction support of marine infrastructure.

Aufgaben

• Work within multidisciplinary project teams to support marine and waterfront infrastructure delivery.
• Perform structural analysis, design calculations, and evaluations for new construction, rehabilitation, and repair of marine structures.
• Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, construction documents, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with design of port-related infrastructure including piers, wharves, bulkheads, mooring structures, and marine terminals.
• Coordinate with structural, geotechnical, coastal, environmental, and construction disciplines to support project development and delivery.
• Participate in site visits, condition assessments, inspections, and construction observations at active port facilities.
• Support project managers in maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality objectives.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, client standards, and maritime requirements (USACE, NAVFAC).
• Assist with proposal preparation and business development activities.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion and quality standards.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in marine infrastructure.
