You will help safeguard people, the environment, cargo, and assets while enabling safe, reliable marine activities. The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, vetting experience, and effective stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

  • Seasoned seagoing officer with deck/engineering background.
  • Knowledge of MARPOL, SOLAS, ISM, ISPS, MLC, PSC, TMSA, and SIRE.
  • Experience evaluating marine risk and vetting decisions.
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder-management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end vessel vetting and clearance processes.
  • Process vessel nominations using enterprise systems (PAVIS).
  • Apply vessel age, newbuild, post-drydock, and management change guidelines.
  • Collaborate with ship owners and operators on vetting matters.
  • Support internal stakeholders with vessel clearance status and risk advice.
  • Review marine incident reports and ensure root cause analysis documentation.
  • Support process improvements and audits; participate in training.
