Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group offers a 10-week Summer Internship Program open to students in Worcester, MA, Houston, TX, and Charlotte, NC, with a hybrid model (2x in office weekly). You will support underwriting functions, prepare data, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver a final presentation to leadership.

Participants gain mentorship, participate in development workshops, and engage in intern social activities while building essential professional skills for a future career

Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Full-time 10-week internship commitment.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or advanced degree program.
• Preferred majors: Risk Management and Insurance, Business.
• Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Marketing and sales orientation.
• Entrepreneurial minded and innovative.
• Ability to problem solve and leverage available resources.
• Service oriented with high responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Support underwriting functions with assigned underwriters, technicians and associates.
• Assist with underwriting transactions, service standards, agency relationships, and documentation.
• Prepare and provide key data and follow up on issues.
• Perform line of business analyses to evaluate accounts.
• Create and present a final internship summary to management.
